A short boat trip from the east coast of Mauritius, the only course on its own island is accessible to players of all levels. This 6,452m Bernhard Langer signature championship course with four different sets of tees covers 38 hectares with holes snaking up and down the length of the island.
Set on the east coast of the island, Legend (6,018m, par 72) and Links (5,942m, par 71) were designed by the golf course architects, Rodney Wright and Peter Allis and built according to USPGA specifications.
Located in the heart of a nature reserve in the south of Mauritius, Avalon Golf & Country Club is a championship course covering some 275 acres of land.
The 18 hole course, by Peter Matkovich, features unique Mauritian landscaping and the distinct feature is the black volcanic rock “outcrops”. The rocks and rolling grasslands provide the backbone of the landscaping.
The Black River Gorges is worth visiting for all trekkers, as well as for the pure nature lovers and bird-watchers. The Black River Gorges is the largest national park in Mauritius.
