MAUTOURCO CLAIMS 4TH STRAIGHT WTA AWARD FOR MAURITIUS AND NAMED INDIAN OCEAN’S LEADING DESTINATION MANAGEMENT COMPANY

Mautourco has achieved a remarkable feat by winning the World Travel Award for Mauritius’ Leading Destination Management Company for the fourth year in a row. In addition, this year our company combining over six decades of experience has also bagged the award for Indian Ocean’s Leading Destination Management Company

Mauritius’ longest established and most respected destination management company (DMC) was presented with the first two awards at the World Travel Awards Africa & Indian Ocean Gala Ceremony 2018, held on Saturday 6 October at the Durban International Convention Centre, South Africa.

“Winning this prestigious award for Mauritius for the fourth consecutive time, topped off this year with the award for Indian Ocean’s Leading DMC is a highly valued recognition of the continued efforts and commitment, but also the creativity and innovation exhibited by our teams daily, especially in terms of upholding our brand pillars,” says Mautourco Managing Director, Richard Robert.

As Mautourco has been nominated for World’s Leading Destination Management Company the Managing Director also added:

“Earning a nomination among the world’s best in our trade is also an unprecedented industry first in Mauritius, which will certainly contribute to raise the profile of the destination. We can expect strong competition from around the rest of the world, but we trust our valued partners to support us by voting for us.”

Voting is underway until Wednesday 24 October for the World’s Leading DMC Award, whose winner will be announced on Saturday 1 December 2018 in Lisbon, Portugal.

Hailed internationally as the Oscars of Tourism, the World Travel Awards are celebrating their 25th edition this year. Voted for by travel and tourism professionals and consumers worldwide, they serve to acknowledge, reward and celebrate the commitment to excellence demonstrated by an organisation over the last twelve months. These awards represent one of the most important distinctions in the global tourism industry.
