MAUTOURCO WINS MAURITIUS’ LEADING DMC FOR FIFTH YEAR IN A ROW AND INDIAN OCEAN’S LEADING DMC FOR SECOND YEAR RUNNING

Mautourco carries on its winning streak with recognition at the World Travel Award as Mauritius’ Leading Destination Management Company for the fifth consecutive year. Our company has also received the award for Indian Ocean’s Leading Destination Management Company for the second time in two years and has been nominated once again for World’s Leading Destination Management Company.

Continuing its series of industry firsts in Mauritius, the country’s longest established and most respected Destination Management Company (DMC) was presented with the first two awards on Saturday 01st June 2019 at the Africa & Indian Ocean Gala Ceremony 2019. This year, this prestigious event took place on our home soil at Sugar Beach – A Sun Resort.

“We are delighted to receive this recognition for the fifth year in a row, and it proves that we have succeeded in maintaining our commitment to delivering superior service, creativity and innovation to our local and overseas partners as well as our guests,” says Mautourco’s Managing Director, Richard Robert.

“These distinctions from industry peers are a real honour and a testament to the talent and hard work of our teams. We also thank all our stakeholders, including our partners for their unwavering trust and our Board of Directors for their ongoing support and leadership.”

Voting for the World’s Leading Destination Management Company Award is underway. The winner will be announced at the Grand Final Gala Ceremony on Thursday 28 November 2019 in Muscat, Oman.

Hailed internationally as the Oscars of Tourism, the World Travel Awards are celebrating their 26th edition this year. Voted for by travel and tourism professionals and travellers worldwide, they serve to acknowledge, reward and celebrate the commitment to excellence demonstrated by an organisation over the last twelve months. These awards represent one of the most important distinctions in the global tourism industry.
