Mauritius – Celebrating Our Values: A Week of Connection, Passion and Purpose at Mautourco

Last week, Mautourco’s teams came together for a special Cultural Development Programme (CDP) dedicated to celebrating, understanding and strengthening the values that are at the heart of our organisation: People, Excellence, Passion, Smile alongside our a review of our sustainable principles.

More than just a programme, this initiative was a meaningful journey designed to bring our teams closer together, encourage reflection and create a deeper connection with the values that guide us every day. These values are not simply words ; they represent our mindset, our way of working and the commitment we share towards our colleagues, our guests, our partners and all stakeholders across the tourism sector in promoting and preserving our destination.

Throughout the week, each member of our team had the opportunity to actively participate in dynamic workshops and activities focused on our core values. These sessions encouraged open discussions, collaboration and sharing of ideas, allowing everyone to better understand how each individual is part of building a resilient, united organisation for the future.

The programme highlighted the importance of People, who are at the heart of everything we do. It was a reminder that our greatest strength lies in the diversity, dedication and passion of our teams. Driven by teamwork and mutual support, we continue to build a positive workplace environment where everyone can thrive, contribute to the company’s continued success and make a meaningful difference.

Our commitment to Excellence was also reinforced, encouraging each of us to continuously improve, challenge ourselves and deliver the highest standards in everything we undertake. With Passion as one of our driving forces, we are inspired to go beyond expectations and create memorable and authentic experiences for our guests while  proudly promoting our beautiful island of Mauritius and the diversity of its people.

Our Smile value reflects the warmth, positivity and genuine hospitality of the Mauritian people, qualities that define both Mautourco’s identity and the true essence of our destination. It reminds us that every interaction matters, and that a simple smile can create lasting connections and inspire visitors to discover and engage with our warm and welcoming people of Mauritius.

Finally, we had the opportunity to revisit our commitments towards a more sustainable Mauritius. This reflects our responsibility to protect our environment, from the simplest everyday actions to the implementation of concrete solutions aimed at reducing our environmental footprint. It also highlights our support for local communities and our active contribution to a greener future for our destination.  A powerful reminder that our actions, attitudes and the daily commitment of each of our team members have a positive impact on our clients, our partners, our community and the long-term sustainability of our destination.

Throughout the week, our offices were filled with positive energy. Collaboration, creativity and team spirit were felt at every moment, providing numerous opportunities for our field teams and office-based colleagues to connect, exchange ideas and celebrate what makes our company culture truly so special.

The programme culminated in a memorable get-together, bringing everyone together for a final celebration filled with laughter, joy and emotion. It was a special moment to recognise the collective efforts of our teams, celebrate our achievements and thank the people  who have helped build Mautourco’s journey.
