Overview of Excursion:

After enjoying captivating vistas of a protected forest reserve you will explore the natural wonders and cultural gems of Chamarel. Discover the multi-coloured dunes, which are among the greatest natural wonders of Mauritius and catch a glimpse of the island’s largest nature sanctuary. The tour will wrap up with an insight into the world of local artisans or the unique endemic flora of Mauritius.

Take a glimpse into Hindu religious and cultural traditions at Grand Bassin, and reconnect with nature’s majesty at the verdant Black River Gorges National Park, a haven for endemic flora and fauna. This is the preamble to an immersion in the soul of Chamarel. A visual feast, the rolling dunes of the Seven Coloured Earth Geopark, sculpted by time and wind, create a captivating spectacle for visitors. Depending on the day, you will either witness traditional techniques passed down through generations of local artisans or embark on a botanical adventure to learn about the island’s endemic plant life.
